Lead Guitarist Richter Scale is from the twenty fifth century: he came back because he was sick of Buck Rogers saying how good things were in the past. A purist for the electric guitar, Richter says that the music of the future is exclusively produced on waveform generators. Meeting Invisible Frank in a university library, he travelled back to the Blobby Submarine and joined us following research into bands of the past – Seismic Secret being listed as the biggest selling band of the twenty- first century. By day, Richter is a member of the paparazzi, feared by celebrities worldwide. What he can do with a long lens is nobody’s business. “The truth of SeismicSecret is it is a band that practices good old fashioned feuding. Some don’t speak to each other. Some have never met each other. Like penguins at the South Pole there is a lot of jostling, though rather than trying to huddle around the centre most are trying to escape. Occasionally one of the members gets a big net and rounds up as many of the others as possible, forcing them to play a live gig of something unrehearsed. This then leads to further disputes that are never forgotten. In the studio it is different.
