In the beginning was a thought, which became a resonance and formed into a sound. And that sound was B Flat, 57 octaves below middle C. It permeated out from the Black hole at the centre of the Galaxy, and all creation was touched and shaped by the vibration.
Some lived oblivious to its existence, others were aware though few attempted to describe its mysterious character. |

I heard the hum many times, and sang along occasionally, eventually being initiated into the secret by a mystic who knew of the note and the black hole.
Inspired, I played the note on Invisible Franks modified synthesiser on the Blobby Submarine. The Submarine Symphony was born. Broadcasting the early version on Radio Earthquake, the subliminal secret message reached out to friends and sympathetic souls who then invited me to join them, as if of their own volition.
And so we played, though unbeknownst to the rest of the band I was a fugitive, sought after by the authorities for stealing and vandalising that now infamous nuclear submarine from which I broadcast my radio station.

It was when a SWaT team interrupted a rehearsal at Wednesbury Old Post Office that their suspicions were aroused. From our open air cells in Guantanamo Bay, my friends had plenty of opportunity to question me upon the reasons for their incarceration. “Relax,” I assured them, “I have friends in high places – a invisible ones in low places too.” |
Sure enough, rescue arrived in the form of Invisible Frank and the Blobby Submarine. We slipped away into the night, Frank showboating by singing a sea shanty with derogatory lyrics that he broadcast back to the island.
As we relaxed in the officer’s mess, Frank gave us some astonishing news – he had put “Submarine Symphony” on general release off this website, after tweaking it with a subliminal message of his own. The result was that our album had sold over two million copies in the first month, and was selling at an expediential rate. He told us that everyone who listened to the Submarine Symphony instantly forgot what it sounded like and would give the disc to a friend or erase the download with no recollection of doing so after. Curiosity would get the better of them, and they would be compelled to log on and buy another, which in turn would be given away or erased. to buy five more, With this process being constantly repeated, within a short while every person with an internet connection will have bought a copy of our album, but won’t they won’t know it. (Frank also saw it prudent to buy shares in CD manufacturing and distribution for obvious reasons.)
As we passed Florida, Captain Galac intercepted a message on the teleprinter from the authorities on VLF. It was an encoded message stating that the new UN Secretary General Martin Westwood was visiting Cape Canaveral for the launch of a prototype space shuttle. “That’s syncronicity at work,” I said, “How about we go over and get a photo for the cd cover of Not just about the Shuttle?” I said.

“How about we borrow the shuttle,” said Frank - “I’ll hypnotise the Secretary General to loan it to us. If he’s got an internet connection – he’s probably already a fan.”
Following the loan of the prototype space shuttle “Shockwave,” Seismic Secret found it very easy to get from one gig to another on their first World tour, able to be on opposite sides of the globe in a fraction of the time that conventional aircraft would travel.
Seismic Secret - now the biggest selling band of the century- are still virtually unknown, able to enjoy life without the pressures of celebrity status.
And that brings us pretty well up to date. The band is currently rehearsing ready for the Worlds first ever concert to be broadcast from the Moon.
